Welcome to the eilslabs

The eilslabs form a joint research group between the division "Theoretical Bioinformatics" at the German Cancer Research Center (dkfz) and the department Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics at the Institute of Pharmacy and Molecular Biotechnology (IPMB) at Heidelberg University. The group is headed by Prof. Roland Eils.

 


simons_foundation_websiteThe Simons Foundation's recent annual report features a collection of fantastic microscopy images of apoptosis, which were produced as part of the eilslabs research on apoptosis, as well as a short introduction on Roland Eils' research. The Simons Foundation is a private foundation based in New York City, incorporated in 1994 by Jim and Marilyn Simons. Jim Simons, who gave a talk during ICSB 2011 on invitation by  Roland Eils, is an American multi-billion hedge fund manager, mathematician, and philanthropist.
